A print from this edition was recently acquired by the Connecticut Historical Society for their permanent collection.

This is an ORIGINAL print, not a reproduction. Unlike a reproduction (gicleé, offset, computer print-outs), this image was conceived and executed solely as a relief print — it is not a "reproduction" of an artwork originally created in another medium, such as a painting or a drawing.

Nyala Farm is a limited edition original linoleum block print with Chine-collé (collage). The sky and foreground are Japanese rice and mulberry papers, placed on top of the inked linoleum plate witih glue on the back. This allows me to print on a very delicate surface. The plate is then run thru a hand-cranked press. Under the pressure of the press, the lighter surface is glued to the support (BFK Rives archival printmaking paper) simultaneously with the image printing on it. The image area is 6" x 11", printed on 10 1/2" x 14" paper, and is pencil-signed and numbered.
