This a beautiful painting of the early morning light as it warms the cold air, near Marble Colorado. The sunrise reflects off the surface of the beaver pond and surrounding snow. My intent in this painting is to capture the solitude and peace of this scene. I was also drawn to the shadows, cast on the snow, which becomes an important element of the composition!

yes I like this too! my only critique (it's not a critique), my only thought is that all your paintings are very rich in color, almost in a saturated sense, by choice no doubt and I would be really curious to see what happens when someone with your skills tries to paint sceneries in a more subdued tone, just curious... I think it would work very well! I think it would give your work an added, more subtle / moody, dimension.
