This 24x26 oil depicts an old road that runs a long a beautiful lake. The tranquil scene that appears here, in my painting captures the a beautiful afternooon spent picnicing in the grass. As the light follows the contour of the road I was compelled to follow it off into the distance. The full range of color that is employed is very dramatic, and demonstrates the strenghth of key color harmony, and my knowledge of painting!
