Hi Peggy. As a fellow artist myself, I feel that the birds don't have to match the painting! To me the more color or contrast the better. Art is art. You just create what you are feeling at the moment your painting! I think this painting is beautiful and I love the colors.

SOME SAY SIZE DOESN'T MATTER AND SOME SAY IT DOES. THE TREES ARE NOT ALL THE SAME SIZE AND SHAPE AND THIS IS WHAT MATTERS. ALSO THE VIVID COLORS ARE MUCH TO MJY LIKING. I DON' USUSLLY PREFER ABSTRACT PAINTINGS, GOING MORE TO IMPRESSIONISTIC STYLES , BUT THIS IS ONE OF TWO ABSTRACTS I HAVE SEEN THAT IS TRULY GREAT. DO MORE AS GOOD AS THIS AND YOU WILL GO FAR.
