This painting style is still one of the most unique works of art from my collection."OPEN WAVES" is part of the Red Mass series. A mixed medium canvas art, painted in acrylic paint "heavy body". 2 to 3 inch elevated sections are hand carved and bonded to the canvas using Styrofoam, cotton and several bonding techniques, giving the artwork a heavy massive look. The canvas size is 40"x 60" with 2 inch thickness. "Open Waves" has a leather look to it,but yet looks heavy once hung. Colors use are burnt umber's, rust, red, navy,metallic silver, and lots of browns. total weight approx 8 pounds. Absolutely gorgeous.
