The original reference photo was obtained from istockphotos.com It was a fully colored photo. And it was a square image with only the right arm of the child shown. I thought showing both arms would be nicer, so in my artwork, i added the other arm myself, drawing it based on the left arm, just in reverse. The swimming attire was done entirely using Prismacolors of 10 different colors including shades of pink,red,purple,black and white.
