This is an acrylic painting painted on site in the village of Anversa degli Abruzzo in Italy. the village is built into the high mountains. The hills above the village once were the site of clay for ceramics. Today, the village population is mainly comprised of the the very old with a scattering of young families with children. Wolves, although in much diminished numbers, still roam the hills above the village.
