The flowers depicted is a kind of Magnolia.The bud of it resembles the soft part of a brush for it tapers off to a fine point with soft feathers all over the surface.Therefore it is also named wooden brush.
It is said that the great poet Li Bai of Tong dynasty once dreamt that the brush of his broomed at the tip;then he became apt at thinking and writing afterward.
When these legendary plants are in full bloom,it would be an splendid view of the striking colour and the upward posture,with the tangle of branches,stems,and sparse leaves.
It is the nature at her wildest and most explosive, and only can use the rising vaporous atmosphere to translate the effervescence of blooming.
