Many years back I had a long discussion with a man that had made a model of St. Paul`s Cathedral from matchsticks I cannot remember now but he used millions of the things and glued them all individually in place. It took him years to make. I marveled at his patients and determination to produce such a scale model, but as he stated "This is not art just because of the time spent, It is a labor of love" I have many paintings that I have done and sold that only took an hour or so to produce. Time and patients has nothing to do with artistic quality. It is the artistic experience that counts. I to was asked how long a picture took I reply one hour to paint and 40 years to learn how to do it
