Beautifully done but, I think you missed the focal point which is the twisted tree. It didn't have that snap, that pop when you look at it. I should be shelacked and finished. But, I still like the way you inlaid the maple burl and the use of black walnut as contrast.
I have to say I almost don't agree with Juan. There is something so beautiful and wonderful about the bare and natural artwork that mother nature has the ability to create. I have lived on the coast and in many places where driftwood can be easily found and I can't say I have ever seen a piece so intricate. If anything the tabletop could be more nature in its finish as opposed to tampering with the natural beauty of the driftwood, but that's just a thought. I still enjoy it very much as it is :)
