This is the view you get just above your toes when your sitting, resting atop world famous Diamond Head Crater. After a long, dry, sweaty climb,it's a pleasure to gaze at the tropical lagoons fronting the million dollar homes along Diamond Head Drive.The scene is situated just leeward of the prevailing trade winds, and the waves caressing the semi-exposed reef created this hypnotic almost surreal feeling of both wanting to jump in the pool for a swim, and to be struck by the awesome mystery and power of the vast Pacific Ocean. The frailty of this island speck sitting in the immensely deep ocean, seems to be exemplified by the spiderweb wisps of surf toyfully caressing the shore of the cardboard like houses. The symbols of mankind's success Are only toys to sweep away, as the recent tsunami's in both the Indian and now the pacific Oceans have shown.
