The inside reveals the birdseye maple on the lid. The case has a lace carving that wraps it't self around the case in a continuous flow. There is the seal, year and number of the piece. With he bottom exposed you can now marvel at the Coco Bolo used from Africa and very dense. The trey is also shown with the mapel burl and tennons visable. Bottom of the trey is also been worked to give you a spaleted quilted, birdseye maple burl. Very pretty
