The model for Stasis was one of my favourite models, Jessica. It was a simple pose with her arms raised above her head, faced straight on. We used a suspended rope to keep her arms up.

When I completed the work I decided to raise the sculpture by having two rods attached to the back of her legs so she appears to be suspended a few inches above the ground.
