Sarah was one of my most favorite models. She was short, had a sway back, muscular but rounded because of her size. Unfortunately I knew her early on in my career and did not capture her the way I wanted. The closest I got to her was this small sculpture I did, which I sculpted this piece without her present.
I often carry this piece from shelf to shelf in my studio so I can see her in different light, and inspire me. This is why it is so dirty and beat up looking from so much handling. I am currently working on a life size variation of this piece.
