An exciting journey through the pages of the degrees works conceived by the human mind. Handcrafted replica of ancient manuscripts in unique editions made with a technique of paper sculpture.. Are currently available several publications that reproduce images of Leonardo's codices, however it is quite innovative the idea of creating Replicas of manuscripts that rather than scientific-popular represent a tool to convey emotions. Assuming to produce Replicas as similar to the originals, the motivation that led me to the realization of these works go far beyond the impersonal copy. In the conception and realization I tried to enrich the samples with a personal contribution to stir up a plurality of emotions in the viewer through a multiple sensory stress. The view through the great impact with words and drawings of Leonardo, but also with the manual sculpture intervention made to copy the original lacerations, with the aging process and coloring paper, with the emphasis given to stains and deterioration caused by time. The sense of touch, through the roughness and irregularity of the paper. The hearing, from tha ancient and deep sound of the pages. The smell finally, stimulated by light scent given to the sheets. The Replica of Leonardo's codex is made by hand, with a dedicated processing on every single page of each copy. This process makes all piece unique: no copy is perfectly alike another.
