This is a page from my 8"x3" sketchbook.

This image began as a spilled page of india ink that dried. I glued it into my sketchbook, then elaborated on its accidental design. I used a black fine tipped pen to draw out what I could see amid the tones of gray and black, for I immediately saw a wizard shaped hat upon a dog shape face, upon a slug-like creature--and I went with every imagined curved and whisker. I elaborated and considered that the strange hump was a backpack covered over by large blanket for the long journey....A fly teases the strange cyclops creature as they slither by...
