The thick taproot of this plant is eaten raw to treat diahorrea. It is a hairy stemmed vine with long oval leaflets extending to long narrow upper leaflets. 2cm flowers appear in April and are greenish yellow with a tinge of mauve. Fruit are thin rounded pods up to 8cm in length.
