The last painting completed in 2021, "Sliprock Sunset" is a large 24 inch high by 48 inch across stretched canvas creation by Steven Graff of the USA. It has a depth (profile) of 1.5 inches and is painted gallery-wrap style with the image going around the sides...no framing needed. The painting is characterized by the warm, sunlit mountain peaks that run through the middle of the image. Competing with those peaks for attention are the single sailboat in the lower right corner and the flock of seagulls flying above the lake generally in the center of the scene. The tall pine tree grove hinted at in the far left helps to hold in the eye. "Sliprock Sunrise" is expressionism; not detailed enough to be called realism.
