Doodletart Glass Lampwork Beads
Hello!
My name is Susan Elliot and I create hot glass lampwork beads using an oxygen an propane mix torch. I use mostly German and Italian glass rods that are melted and built up on a stainless steel rod, called a mandral, into a bead sized mass. I then push and mold this mass into a pleasing shape using a variety of tools. When I have a good shape and size I can then design on top using smaller hand made glass rods or canes to produce a variety of designs. I lean toward nature for inspiration, creating tiny gardens in glass.
Art Festivals
Joe and I sell our finished jewelry designs using my lampwork beads under the name Peck & Elliot. We participate in 20+ outdoor art festivals in Florida and the Mid West. The full schedule of events are posted on the website.
We sell individual Lampwork Beads for others to create with at:

Home Life
We live in Northern Florida, near Ocala, during the winter surrounded by the huge old live oak trees that are plentiful here. In late Spring we pack up the studio, the dog, the two cats and we move to our summer home in northern Indiana. We live a tiny lake side cottage and work in good sized separate studio we built on the property. I am an enthusiastic gardener in both states, but the Indiana perennial garden is amazingly colorfull and full of inspiration for my beads.
