My world of art
All of my life I had been self employed in the retail world, but I had always wanted to become a painter and paint landscapes. Unfortunately I was not able to do so until 1993 when I retired and moved from California to Bozeman, Montana. In l996, my mentor and dear friend Pat Mahan, a terrific landscape artist from Montana took me under her wing and gave me my start into the art world. One can say, it is never too late in life to start a new career. Since that time, I have taken numerous workshops, both in Montana and Arizona, which helped expand my horizons into various mediums and venture from the traditional landscape to the glorious world of color and shapes in abstract. My husband I became full time residents of Arizona in 2004, living 6 months in the mountains of the Rim Country and 6 months in Sun City West. No matter where we travel, I marvel at the beauty of God's creation and drag my husband thru all the art gallerys. I can remember artist, Ralph Oberg, saying, the one way to learn is to go thru gallerys and study other artists work. When you view my work, you can tell I'm adventurist and not afraid to try new ideas. Enjoy
