The only teaching I have received in art was in the home. My father, who is no longer with us, was a clever graphic artist. He also hand carved fish decoys that has been displayed in a national magazine and was known for his simple use of color. I, on the other hand, was more interested in sports when I was younger. I played around with art, but never gave the time needed to learn. Now that I'm a lot older, and would probably hurt myself if I tried the sports route again, I'm giving art a serious attempt. Remembering the times I did spend with my father, teaching me his style of art and color. I choose to use pastel because I love to blend and create my own color values. Since I live in Northern Michigan, I have a love for wildlife. Most of the artwork you will see from me will be of the great outdoors and probably will have some sort of animal in it. I just started doing this a couple of years ago and I see myself getting better all of the time. I hope you enjoy what I produce and Hope I did my father proud.
