Action and energy influence my painting. I almost always use a palette knife to effect this, along with lashings of oil paint. Although I do work a lot on canvas, I also enjoy the unrelenting surface of canvas on board. Charcoals, especially when life drawing are another favourite. Following a BA.in Wales, my postgraduate studies followed at the then, Chelsea School of Art, Manresa Road, Chelsea and Kings College, London.
My influences are artists Kyffin Williams, Frank Auerbach, Lucien Freud and many more.
Most of my original work is exhibited in my online galleries Rugby Arts and Allan Storer and from both galleries, artist quality giclee rugby prints and others can be purchased.
I have also exhibited with a string of local Galleries in London, Cornwall and Wales, including the Institute of Royal Oil Painters, at the Mall Galleries, London and the Museum of Rugby in Twickenham, London, and the Glynn Vivien Gallery, Swansea.
Reviews by the Artist and Illustrator Magazine, their Spirit of The Game Competition 2008,the South Wales Evening Post and the Guardian, Richmond.
