Hello All,
I live in beautiful Colorado. As a 40-year-old, 3 years ago, I needed a full hip replacement. I worked with some jewelry makers who got together socially to have little social parties while making jewelry together so I started to be interested in finding something in common with them. Before my surgery which was in May I got together some books, tools and supplies so I would have something to keep me busy while I was recuperating. With encouragment and positive feedback I found I had a knack for putting colors, and shapes together in a pleasing way. It's interesting when you have never been encouraged by family of origin you don't know what your real gifts are until you are thrown into something completely foreign and you learn for yourself what your strengths and weaknesses are. Creating beautiful pieces with natural materials is my passion. I've been making jewelry ever since. Now I have a retail shop in Colorado called Jewelry Inspired by the Wonderment of Life a.k. jiwl.
I appreciate your critiques of my work so I can learn more about what the public wants.
