I was born in North Carolina, the youngest of nine children.    I am married with two adult children.   I am mostly self taught.  However,I have had two years of commercial art training.  

I have, with encouragement from an older brother, been painting for 38 years.  I mostly create my own renderings, but sometimes will paint from pictures I find interesting.  In the past I used only acrylics, mainly because of the fast drying time, but recently switched to oils.  I like the richness and the opaqueness of oils.  I, include figures in most of  my renderings.
