I do it for expression and peace. The subjects of my work vary widely. This includes current, past, future and historically events. All this is mixed with my imagination. So, a passing thought may show-up in my work. I can see the abstract character of most things, and they remind me that I am a very creative artist. My work is a mixture of art and design. I can see my art’s strong influence on people because it is viewed long and intensely. My art provokes thought and at times it’s somewhat controversial. I am mainly concerned with the basics, which are the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Where the viewer’s eyes move and rest in my work are of concern as well. I try very hard not to be perfect but still get my ideas down fairly accurately. As a result, I keep my individuality. I would categorize most of my work as a form of Visionary Abstract Expressionistic Realism seen with an acute Utopian inner vision and perspective. These criteria are the most important aspects of my art and what I think makes it different.
Mixed media, including Oil Pastel, Acrylic Paint, Printers Ink, Gouache, Collage and Color Pencils, are my preferred tools. I incorporate my learned skill of Computer Science and Drafting Engineering and Design into my art as well.
I want to show my work to others in hopes that they are inspired by whatever they view that can relate to their experience.
