I have been interested in Art for a number of years. Since High School really, however it is not until the last 7 years that I began painting on canvas. Before that I did mostly ceramic work. My elderly Mother came to live with my husband and I about 22 years ago after my father passed away. Mother was blind and had diabetes. Someone had to be with her all the time. My husband and I worked varying shifts so we could provide constant companship and care.Soon the doctor said we were unable to care for her at home and she should go to a nursing facility. The stress was unbelieveable. I started to paint to releive stress, I believe God always sends us a way to cope and this was mine. Mom passed in 2006, but I continued to paint as now I love it so.
