I spent much of my youth living on a ranch in Northern Arizona. It's there that I learned to appreciate the beauty of nature. After completing College at Northern Arizona University, I worked for several Indian tribes including Hualipais and White Mountain Apaches. I was priviledged to hike among scenic views, including Anasazi ruins, that few non-indians get to see, .I moved to Tacoma in 1989 and became fascinated with cloud formations here and colors.
I've had no formal art training, but I've been learning for abouy 20 years. I've exhibited my work in a number of venues and have had one individual show. I've sold a number of paintings, and have painted on consignment.. I still have a lot to learn about the business.
My Medium is acrylics. Some of my themes are cloud scapes, archilogical sites, Southwest and Northwest landscapes, and birds. I try to make my work look as much like an oil painting as I can.
