Artist Biography
Name: Kelly Kasulis Art Style: Mostly graphic art Focus: People, political art, statements, messages Education: High School Student; Freshman Media: Mostly sharpie/paint markers, but I also use acrylic paints. Rarely do I make sculptures/collages, though I have done it before. Some art is done digitally with a Bamboo Pen tablet, though I have yet to post it here. Favorite Artists: MC Escher, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Frida Kahlo. Favorite "Today" Artists: Mike Shinoda, Duncan Pierson, Catharine Barcham, Sara Sherwood, Corey Sandelis. I don't know whether art is necessarily "my thing", or "my future", but it's enabled me so far to establish myself as someone within my community. I feel like my confidence in the arts itself as well as my skill definitely needs growth, and I am seeking an intensive study of it this summer of 2009 at the Welseyan University CCY (Center for Creative Youth) program.
