I am a highschool graduate 1977, with no former education or training in art, beyond a few classes in highschool. I grew up with a natural gift for drawing. I wanted to draw, I did, and they were always well received from the time I was 11 years old. I watched my Dad drawing pictures when I was a small child, and that is where my interest in Art grew from.
I gave away many of my works to friends, and family and donated to a worthy cause, which is something I still plan to do when the need arises. I sold maybe two artworks in my lifetime. I didn't have a desire to make a carreer from my work until maybe 10 years ago, when it became apparent as a disabled woman, I could no longer work the usual labor jobs I did for many years.
I love creating, and always have, and do so freely, without measure or obsticles to hold me back. I sketched on anything I could find when I had no money for supplies. As time went on, I was able to buy better supplies, try new things, different media's, and then came my first computer. I had to teach myself how to use one, and as I did, I found a new direction in my life, new doors opening to my new found goals, In seeking to go the path in my work that I feel strongly I am meant to go.
I have become more interested in selling my work, as many people have begun to favor my creations. I see this path as more then just a new journey into the wide world of art, and creating art, but also an income base, that is much to my desire.
I am currently setting up websites for my work, such as in here with No Bull Art, which I appreciate is free to those like myself that find it impossible to purchase at this time. I am also getting organized, ready to set up to begin sells of my work. I plan to sell my original works once I have generated an income through selling them in prints. I haven't quite yet reached the place where I can sell from my home, but I am close to getting there.
I do consider myself an Artist as an amatuer, without training or schooling, as one with a gift that comes from our higher Creator. Many of my works come from dreams and visions, devine inspiration, as well as Inspiration from other Artist's and life in general. I can draw faces, people flowers, plantsand tree's, mountains, animals, in realism, abstracts, and more. I have no certain niche as some Artist seem to seek. I am inspired. I draw it, I paint it. That is all there is to it. My choice of media are always color pencil , watercolors, charcoal, graphite, and often times I mix these together as a mixedmedia work.
Once I am set up, organzed and ready, I will begin selling my work. I see that as my future, which is coming very soon.
Thank you for your interest in my work.
Peace and Blessings, all.
