Hi, my name is Carol Miller.
My art began with love of photography, capturing nature, people and places, creating a lifetime of memories. I am a fine art photographer, primarily self-taught.
Recreating my photos into abstracts with the use of my computer is what I love most. By extracting and manipulating various colors and shapes from my photos, an enhanced or entirely new image emerges. Abstract art allows me to express myself in a more personal way. The combination of realism and abstraction is what makes my work unique without getting locked into one or the other.
Affiliations are: the Art Forum at the North Shore Public Library and the North Shore Art Guild where I served on the board and continue to volunteer. My art has been exhibited in galleries and libraries resulting in several awards.
To find one’s passion is a blessing and I am blessed to have found mine.
