Ian is a former journalist and graphic designer who was born in London, has lived in many parts of England, Wales, and now Scotland. He has been painting for many years and has exhibited in a number of galleries both in London and Wales.

He paints mainly in acrylics, attempting to convey the experience of being in a particular place at a particular time in terms of weather and atmosphere.
