I am a self taught artist who began painting 12 years ago.  I've been interested in art since I was a child; strolling through various art museums, studying the great masters' techniques and dreaming that someday, I too would be able to paint like them....   Still dreaming!

After retiring from an aerospace company in St. Louis, my huband and I moved to the Ozarks.  We purchased an RV and began spending time on the Gulf Coast of Florida, Alabama and Texas.  It was during one of those trips, I took a photo of an old seafood shack in Bon Secour, Alabama and decided to paint it.  I was pleasantly surprised when the painting sold at my first art show.

Later, I joined a local art club where I was awarded "Artist of the Year", "Artist of the Month", "Best in Show" and "People's Choice Award" for several of my paintings.  That was just what I needed to boost my confidence and continue painting.  More recently, my painting titled, "Sisters of the Sea" won 1st Place at the Lake Ozark Palm Sunday Art Show competition.

I am inspired by the many places we see and the people we meet while traveling. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoy painting them.
