Hi. I'm Sally Morris. I was born in Kent, England in Nov 1961, and I currently live in a little village not far from Canterbury.
I have been painting for many years, experimenting with oils, watercolours and now Encaustic wax - one of the oldest forms of painting known to exist!
Beeswax is mixed with pigment into hard blocks, which I then melt and use in a variety of ways. I use specialist paper which helps the wax to glide across the surface!
Once painted, there is no danger of the picture "melting" even if left in direct sunlight.
Art is a huge passion of mine and it is only recently that I have decided to take my art to another level and start selling and exhibiting around England.
I can boast my work being auctioned alongside that of the famous English artist Tracy Emin.
I have even had a painting stolen by art thieves! I often wonder where it is now!
The work I do often has a surreal and fantasy theme. I just use my imagination and let the colours do the work! However, I have been asked for many commissions, where I can create a specific painting dependant on my customers' wishes.
There is nothing as wonderful as a unique and original artwork hanging on your wall. No one else in the world has that painting! That's quite special!
So please feel free to get in contact with me and I will try my best to make you a special piece of art work that will have a perfect place in your home or work.
