Artist Biography:
Born in Thessaloniki, Greece (1981 +).
My involvement with painting started at a very young age.
My father was a painter, thus I had the opportunity to learn a couple of
things about art with him. At the age of 18, I started working
in the workroom of my teacher of painting as a helping hand.
Additionally, for a couple of years I have been studying classic design,
as well as started being interested in the byzantine technique.
At the age of 21, I opened my own shop-workroom, where
I started delivering orders for icons and other paintings of more religious-byzantine character.
During the next couple of years, I managed to paint 450 byzantine icons, in addition to
being called to paint wall murals into numerous churches in Greece.
At the age of 24, I attended seminars on scenography for six months.
At 25, during the completion of my 12 months long
military service, I undertook the job of painting murals for a
small chapel, in addition to making several portraits for officers and other
military personel.
All these years, I was paying serious attention to the
works of Spanish and Italian baroque painters.
Since 2008 I have made a sequence of paintings depicting
topics of allegory, still life and scenes from everyday life, as well as portraits for individuals.
I wish that my paintings fill you with emotions and happiness, just as they do to me.
