Granny and Grandpop paintings are created by two people married over fifty years, my mum and dad... They paint because it is the only thing they seem to have in common LOL. The serenity that surrounds them is quite cool while they paint. They paint whatever they feel...maybe some describe it as folk art...while others fine art...to be honest none of us have a clue...but if it keep's the golden couple  happy for a while...then it is good art!!! They are not too familiar with some technology so i was asked to set this gallery up for them. Now lets talk money...other than it been the root of all evil..Grandpop Marsay is a hard man to bargain with...Granny Marsay a dark horse...but open to offers.

 

I paint but this about them, and i see and like the natural way they paint....i see childlike painting totally unplanned and unaware and i see that it is innocent of what many of us think we SHOULD paint like (just my opinion) Maybe I should buy it myself:) however i am more interested in the line of Inheritance should these two become famous ARTIST'S....and it was ME who got them out there wasn't it? so to be fair i would get the lion share....ooops!getting a little carried away with the fairy.

 

They don't see things serious and this reflects in their art work and some of their offspring...their work is light and fun...we often wonder what is going on in their minds at the time of painting but whatever it is it's colouful,unusual,odd,but genuine and maybe that's a good thing in today's world.
