Sculpturing is the way for me to express myself. When I carve I feel most in touch with my inner self. I take a block of clay or stone and start carving the shape out of it.
Through the years, my sculptures have changed and evolved together with my personality (maturity, kids, husband etc). In my work, I express my views on love, balance and inner tranquility. My work reflects the relationship between myself and all those who surround me. I strive to express myself and to bring out emotions and thoughts from others.
My work, deals with the human figure, highlighting its sensuality, complexity and beauty.
I was born in Israel and has been sculpturing for more then 20 years working in stone, marble, alabaster, clay and other media. I graduated form the Avni Institute of Fine Arts where I received a scholarship, continued studies at the art department of the University of Massachusetts, worked for two years at the Art Student League of New York, worked with several scholars and for three years I was working in The North Jersey Art Center as well as in my own studio.
I joined the Salute Women in the Arts in 2001 and had presented my work in numerous, group and juried shows in Israel and in the US. In 2003 I became a member of the Fine Art Gallery in Piermont NY where I presented my work frequently with a solo show in January 2005.
Nowadays, I am back in Israel working at a stone workshop in Ramat Hasharon with a group of artists and teaching ceramic art at my own studio in Ramot Hashvim.
