Lindsey Matousek was born in Kansas City, Missouri with her twin sister on August 11th, 1990. She was adopted and moved with her new family to Liverpool, New York where she grew up. Though no one in her family was an artist, Matousek began to make artwork as soon as she could pick up a pencil. She graduated from Liverpool Highschool in 2008 and began to work towards her bachelor's in fine arts at Cazenovia College.

It was at Cazenovia College where Matousek was first introduced to painting by artist and professor Jen Pepper. She fell in love with this way of creating artwork and continued to paint. She is now a senior at Cazenovia College and focuses on the human figure as a major part of her artwork.
