Canadian by birth, I am a permanent resident of the Bahamas by choice. I was educated in Canada and after a busy and challenging career in the corporate world I now find excitement and fulfillment as a visual artist and owner of the oceanfront Adagio Art Gallery. The beauty of the islands, the wondrous changing sea, and the vibrant colors of the local flora are a constant inspiration.
I specialize in the ancient art of hand papermaking following the process invented in China circa 105 AD. Through extensive travel and studies I have met and shared with a variety of hand papermakers and paper artists and this has allowed me to expand and develop in this medium. Through my Artistry in Handmade Paper I have been able to combine my true commitment to both the environment and my passion for art.
Our oceanfront paradise provides a constant supply of material from the local leaves, flowers and seaweed mixed with recycled paper. This leads to unlimited variations when making the paper that becomes canvas and painting medium.
My first art exhibition in 2004 with the Grand Bahama Artists Association has been followed by several solo exhibitions and group exhibitions in the Bahamas, Canada and USA. I exhibit my work online, in local galleries and at our Adagio Papermaking Studio and Gallery on Grand Bahama Island.
