Abdul Salam Khan is a well known Odisha based painter. He was born in 1982 in a small village called Athagarh, District-Cuttack, Odisha. He obtained M.A and Mphill Degree in Visual Arts.
The richness he achieve comes from nature, he believe “Mother of All Creation is based on Nature”, source of his inspiration-Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, JWM. Turner.
The quote pertinently describes the under-lying force of nature in the wake of the painting of khan.
His work takes viewer on a journey into nature’s lap. His ability to capture his subjects in detail and his realistic creation are a tribute to the nature.
Khan as received National Award from kala rang kala sang Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, State Lalit Kala Academy Award from, Orissa, Gold Medal by Kala Bhumi, Odisha, State youth Award for Creative Painting (Chief Minister Award) from Director of Sports and Youth Department Odisha, International Award in Worlds Biggest Fine Art Camp by Prarambh, Mumbai. Most recently he awarded National Award by Indian Royal Academy, Gulbarga, India.
Abdul held many solo and group Exhibition shows across all over India at All India Fine Art & Craft Society, New Delhi, Lalit Kala Akademi New Delhi, Triveni Art Gallery New Delhi, Nehru Centre, Mumbai, Chitra Kala Parishat, Bangalore, Chitramayee State Art Gallery, Hyderabad, A.P etc.
His Exhibition was also hosted by “Indian Council for Cultural Relation’s”, Government of India on dated 8th -13th June 2012 at Azad Bhawan Art Gallery, His next Exhibition Stage on the month of November, December 2013 at Lalit Kala Akademi New Delhi, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jiapur respectively.
