Hello! My name is Veronica Konechnova. I am professionally engaged in artistic mosaics. I create custom mosaic paintings, murals. I decorate the interiors and create pictures using the following materials: glass mosaics and smalt. Smalt is a high strength glass. Today the technology of production of smalt reinvented: the glass is treated with a variety of metal oxides and heated to high temperatures. As a result, the material gets excellent physical and chemical properties: impact resistance, frost resistance, resistance to aggressive media. Smalt is interesting because it is opaque, but as if lit from within. Mosaic picture is assembled from thousands of pieces of of smalt. Such work can be placed both indoors and outdoors.
I live in St. Petersburg. It is a beautiful city with a lot of churches, palaces and museums. Since childhood I was fond of the history of art, and contemplating the great works of architecture, sculpture, painting, and began to create itself. I graduated from St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts and the St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University.
