Bonnie Bowen was born in the early eighties in Yuma AZ. While creativity was always present in her life, it has worked through many forms. From musical instruments and photography to drawing, her true passion came alive in 2012 with painting, inspired by her grandparents artwork that surrounded her since she was a young child. Self-taught, her style has come to best be categorized as Impressionism and Expressionism. You can easily see the influence of her life spent in the majestic beauty of the desert southwest and her love of nature. With anxiety and social stress coming to a head and looking for an outlet, Bonnie turned to the canvas to express these feelings running the gambit from serene landscapes to beautiful expression pieces, in which you can clearly see the emotions we all feel.
