Jacquelin Boekhoff
Born in 1989 in Stayton, Oregon
I started painting and drawing at a very young age of 4 where my mother and father would sit and teach me a basic understanding of artform. At the young age I grew to develop my skill over the years. At the age of 10 I was relocated to Minnesota where I moved around a great deal. I used my art as a way to express my emotions and learned to use various techniques and styles of artforms. I optionally took art classes at every school i attended, meeting a number of techniques and challenges which i truly became passionate about. In highschool i attended a precollege course through AI while still taking art classes.
Coming from a poor family I often used what i had on hand to express my creativity and i fostered my own style. In the years I found myself in love with various artists work, like monet and van gogh but had a liking for various graffitti and new school styles. I do intertwine these styles in my work from time to time but not on purpose, it is what I like to call this inner feeling that is quite remarkable. like a sixth sense if you will, like an emotion you can literally feel the paint or pencil going down. like every curve and stroke is a living vessel to your creation. And it is apart of you.
I do generally create pictures that speak but only in a way that the individual can interpret for themselves. From time to time i create pictures and drawings of portraits or realism. But these are solely for continued learning purposes. This is not a hobby, this is me and what i am passionate about. If you would like to speak directly to me my email is boekhoff55@gmail.com and i hope to get more work up soon.
