Kevin Byrd is a self-taught artist who grew up in Queens New York, and was accepted in the art program at Andrew Jackson High School, where he studied and excelled as an Expressionistic Artist. He graduated in 1974 and moved on to John Jay College to pursue a Criminal Justice Degree. He continued to develop his skills by taking art course and attended night classes at The Student Art League in New York. He furthered his education and graduated from Mercy College with a degree in Human Services. His self portrait (selfie) is a 12x36 collage mixed media done on canvas was exhibited at Ann Gallery in Newburgh, New York. He's currently the CEO of Imaginative Art in Black Form, LLC, Which is Located in Fishkill, New York. His recent painting called “The Protest” is a 36x47 acrylic on canvas, which is creatively done about the protest in New York City against police brutality. The painting was created to express his political views, as well as, bringing awareness of the injustices of Police brutality in the community. The painting was also exhibit at (HAS), Harlem School Of Art.
